Capita Hartshead initially evolved from a team set up in 1974 to administer the Local Government Pension Scheme on behalf of the Water Authorities. It later expanded through the acquisition of Hadrian Solway and, in 1997, became part of The Capita Group Plc, a FTSE 100 company and one of the UK's most experienced professional support service businesses.
Since 1974, we have grown tremendously. Capita Hartshead administers pension schemes for over 500 clients, covering more than 3.2 million members throughout the UK.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our people. All are trained to be extremely knowledgeable in their field, many are qualified specialists, and each is dedicated to providing the highest possible standards of customer service.
Ongoing changes in legislation mean it is more important than ever to have access to expert guidance. Our technical consultants provide a rich seam of relevant knowledge, available to our clients and disseminated across our staff base via relevant training sessions.
Our pensions offices are registered 'Qualification in Pensions Administration' (QPA) or 'Qualification in Public Sector Pensions Administration' (QPSPA) assessment sites. We also support and sponsor the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) qualifications along with the new PMI qualification - the Diploma in Pensions Calculations (DPC). This is an integral part of our ongoing commitment to the Investors in People (IiP) award.
We currently have around 300 staff that are studying, part qualified or fully qualified.
