Job Description

My client is a major publisher in the UK and is seeking an AGILE Project Manager for one of their exciting projects. This role is ideal for somebody who is looking to leverage their career and has roughly 5 years experience in AGILE Project Management. You will be responsible for leading and delivering key project initiatives across: 1) New Digital Product Development, 2) Mobile Development, 3) Evolution of existing commercial Digital Products, 4) Digital projects for Advertising and Editorial, 5) Data projects for CRM. Key products within the portfolio include (Fantasy Gaming), (Puzzles/Games portal) You will be strong a delivery project manager with a proven track record using Agile, ideally from a media organisation. You will be working across multiple projects managing internal development teams and third party solution partners. Building effective relationships with key stakeholders including Product Management, Editorial and Commercial teams. You will have strong experience in requirements analysis and be able to understand business and user requirements. You will understand the complexities of delivery a range of digital projects and will be able to plan projects and successfully manage the project process. You will be able to demonstrate the key tenets of Digital Project management: Planning time & resources, managing budgets, ensuring quality, and having the force of character to drive projects through. SKILLS:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Remove impediments to the ability of the team to deliver.
• Acts as buffer between the team and any distracting influences.
• Facilitates daily scrums, sprint planning and sprint reviews.
• Serves as the focal point (Product and Project) and Solution Partner/Internal Development for the project.
• Is the overall \"owner\" of the project
• Responsible for communication within News and with Solution Partner/Internal Development .
• Enforces the delivery process is used as intended and the enforcer of the rules.
• Establishes the Project Blueprint at start-up ensuring scope, deliverables and governance are clearly documented and agreed.
• Creates the Product Backlog artefact at start-up and continually manages and updates the Backlog throughout the project delivery.
• Develops the Sprint Backlog/Plan for each Sprint.
• Takes corrective action if any tasks are falling behind schedule. Ensures that any such slippages/changes are reported and dealt with via Change Control.
• Reports to the Programme Steering Group through Project Status Reports.
• Co-ordinate project resources ensuring effective utilisation during each Sprint.
• Supports project governance including risk management and reporting.
• Actively manages change control and conducts impact analysis
• Manages scheduling and tracking of progress for all project tasks.
• Ensures Acceptance Test criteria, data, and expected results are comprehensive, documented, and agreed
