• What’s involved:

To be the main contact and lead officer in respect of the Council’s Sickness Management Procedure for the Directorate.

To advise all levels of management on the Council’s Sickness Management Procedure and support managers in actively managing sickness absence in their service areas as directed by the Sickness Panel.

To provide all statistical information in respect of sickness absence to Directorate Management Team, Sickness Panel and senior management as necessary.

To develop, present and co-ordinate training courses on the Council’s Sickness Management Procedure for all managers across the Directorate in collaboration with the directorate's HR management team.

Work closely with the Directorate HR team in order to develop, produce and refine sickness monitoring reports to demonstrate and identify trends, patterns and emerging problems.
